Holiday Season at the Aquarium of the Pacific
This past weekend we were invited to the Aquarium of the Pacific for their holiday season celebrations. We got to see penguins, sea otters, sea lions and other marine life.
The Aquarium is currently decorated for the holidays and it is just beautiful. We got to take a family picture in front of the Christmas tree and with the Aquarium's cool characters who were in their holiday outfits.
My family and I got to enjoy the Aquarium’s Holiday Treats for the Animals festival, where the sea otters, seals, and sea lions received early holiday treats and presents during the show. We were able to learn some facts about marine life and the kids also got a chance to ask a few questions. The best part, I would say was getting to see the Penguin Parade. We got to see two feathery penguins up close and even got to take a few selfies with them. The boys also got to experience their first snowfall of the season at the Great Hall right after watching a Santa diver deliver more holiday treats to the fish.
Starting December 7 through the 23rd, you and your family can celebrate the most wonderful time of the year just as we did!!. Holiday Treats for the Animals Festival, December 7-8
Delight in watching Santa Diver delivering an ocean of gifts to your favorite animals, including penguins, sea otters, seals, sea lions, lorikeets, and fish.
Holiday Ugly Sweater Weekend, December 21-22
Wear an ugly holiday sweater to the Aquarium to receive $5 off your admission ticket (upon request only).
Spark of Love Toy Drive, December 7-23
Get in the true spirit of the holiday season and bring in a toy to support the Long Beach Fire Department Spark of Love Toy Drive.
Aquarium guests who donate a new, unwrapped toy – at a $15 value or more – will receive a coupon valid for $10 off an adult admission ticket and $3 off a child admission ticket (limit of 4 admission tickets). Aquarium members will receive a complimentary admission ticket for each toy donated (limit of 6 admission tickets per membership).
On weekends, you can have a blast in the snow play area, get your photo taken with Santa during regular photo opportunities, and enjoy Hanukkah storytelling with opportunities to play dreidel.
